I prefer to call it my conscious, or my instinct, and yes, I try to always do what it says. Sometimes I trick myself into doing the complete opposite and 90% of the time it is the wrong decision. So more and more I trust to trust my conscious.

Unfortunately intuition does not work in casinos IMO. Which does not mean it cannot be used to gamble, but it is more for gambling on important life decisions. As corny as that may sound.
