The House Republicans...being tired of hearing some Democrats making headlines with talk of an immediate withdrawal of our troops from Iraq...proposed a resolution for an immediate withdrawal. The voting is almost over and only 2 Democrats thus far have voted for an immediate withdrawal. Smart ploy by the Republicans.

The time for voting has long since been up and though the official final tally has not been read...the count stands at 3 Democrats (out of the 435 member House) voting for withdrawal of our troops from Iraq.
Hmm...Democrats overwhelmingly voted for the invasion of Iraq...and now are on record of having overwhelmingly voted against withdrawing from Iraq.
The last pole that I saw only 19% of Americans are in favor of withdrawing from Iraq...so I assume the Democrats paid attention.
