I think those kinds of services can be of great help to the content buyer, as it would save him/her a great deal of time. And time certainly is money in this biz.

My time is very valuable. So when we work for someone mainstream, webdesign, we charge no less tha 75$ per hour. Unless it is a client that we have done several sites for, and have more on the way. Then we will go as low as 30$ an hour.

I'd like to know your thoughts on this, because at Sell my Content this is the direction we decided to go and I'd really like some feedback on how much value you all place on these types of things.

No easy answer to your question, since each set is always different (for us). I do everything from set/prop design and construction to all photography, post-editing, etc. A lot depends on the complexity of the set and the time involved building the props (we shoot BDSM/fetish - so I often build bondage furniture and such for different shoots).

But no, I don't really factor set construction as part of my costs (although I probably should). If I did, I'd spread the cost over 2-3 shoots since we often use the same equipment for several photosets in a row before dismantling and trying a different configuration. For a typical set, I'd say it averages me about 2-3 hours of assembly and arrangement...including lighting.

I *do* include my post-editing production time in my costs, though.
