well we were down exactly where we were supposed to be. we were on time, i think we may have been even earlier than most. i presented, left my purse in the VIP booth and when i returned the camera amd my wallet were gone.

honestly, right now i am SAD. i have spent much of today interviewing people about what the redeeming qualities of pornography are -and i got a TON of great answers.

sadly, the common misconception is that there is a lot of lying/cheating/stealing/taking avantage of in our indstry....and right now i'm hurt by my experience tonight and i hope you all will learn from my stupid mistakes. this story is what those other people talk about and make us, as 'ponrographers' look bad.

Sorry to hear that, Tassy. Most conventions have surveillance cameras, did you check with the event coordinator/event location security staff?

There was a recent convention here in the Philippines where 3 dudes were caught stealing a laptop on surveillance camera. They snagged the PC when the booth demonstrator was busy talking to sales leads. They made the mistake of coming back the next day and were promptly whisked off to jail.

Damn sorry to hear that tASSY I hope you find it (very unlikely) I know exactly how you feel, I had my purse stollen at my previous job. I knew it was someone I worked with...It was driving me crazy I started doubting everyone, until one day some guy got caught taking another girls wallet! It took a good 6 months, but he got greedy and got caught! In time this person will get what they deserve.

sorry that happened to you, did you check in the hotel lost and found maybe a employee thought it was lost and gave it to the front desk. To also think its the porn industry is also wrong some surfer who sent two signups to a program but is attending webmaster access is not in our industry. The fact that your items were stolen sucks, but I'm not sure I see the correlation you're making. There are thieves everywhere in this world so why would the adult business be any different? Just because you're at a porn convention doesn't mean your stuff is any safer left lying around than if you were at a restaurant, the mall, or an insurance convention. Sure there are assholes in this business, but I don't think we've got more than our fair share.

I too had the same experience 2-3 years ago at the Internext Las Vegas. I didn't leave my camera very long, i put it on the table while i was cleaning up the booth at the end of the show. someone from the the crowd leaving the floor just grabbed it i think. i know exactly how you are feeling rite now. i mean.. i used to take a lot of pictures in the past but not anymore.

i posted on fewboards and didn't get it back of course. i hope it turned out different for you.
