China has no reason to attack the US. They will own us economically without the need for war. WE will be the ones starting shit with them when the time comes. That's how the US first raised to power after WW2. Europe was bombed out and American industry was suddenly in demand for the first time.

WW3 will be manipulated to take place in and around China. It'll be slowly ramped up so that American industry can be revived to produce war supplies (probably using Mexican labor). Then when enough of China has been destroyed and the war is over, the American factories will remain in operation since China will be in no position to supply the world with cheap products anymore.
