    looking for a script to block/redirect traffic by region

    As the title says, I'm looking for a program to block or redirect traffic by region on my server. It will be used on a TGP that gets a decent amount of traffic so it can't use many resources or it will bog down the server.

    I want this to block the traffic before it ever reaches my TGP index page, so that way my trade script won't count the traffic from the areas specified.

      Don't just block them, redirect them to something that will at least give you a chance at some extra money. Try Password By Phone.
      Install a database and use .htaccess: http://www.maxmind.com/app/mod_geoip (the free one is pretty decent, the paid one obviously a bit better)

              Any idea which countries to block?

              I've added Russia, China, Brazil (not too sure bout this one).. any other suggestions?

                  Those are probably the 3 big ones to worry about, but in my opinion, surfers from countries other than AE AB AT AU BE CA CH DE DK ES FI FR GB GI GR IE IT JP LI LU MC MX NL NO NZ PR PT SE UK US VA ZA will do nothing but burn bandwidth.

                  Of course, traffic trading partners may not like you redirecting all the shit.
