    I shut down my paypal account

    ...to many attempted hacks...and has been going on for far to long. The person I spoke with that shut down my account said they are under attack on a daily basis. Someone is going to succeed in a major hack one of these days and people's bank accounts are going to suffer the consequences. I just hope that they deleted all of my info...but I somehow doubt it.

              Its probably better you shut it down then paypal shut it down for one reason or another. And No you can be sure that they did not delete your information. They never do. Its policy.

              But I agree one day they will probably get hit and get hit hard. A major loss to a major amount of people will happen.

                  This is wy I have a separate paypal only / high risk checking account connected to paypal. Since I can electronically transfer using wells fargo at any time it works well for me.

                      In most cases, it stays in DB for minimum of 90 days to help against fraud.

                          call your bank and have them block paypal from your account
