Story about my flight
So, there we were, wielco and me, standing in line for boarding at 10am Dutch time. We were informed that the flight was overbooked, and there was a possibility we couldn't be on this flight... But we tried to stay positive. We went to the desk, and we were told the flight was really full, and that we had to wait for a few, because there's always a chance people don't show up.
After 15 minutes the chick came up to us, and told us there was one seat left on this plane, in the business class.
We were given 2 choices:
1. Change both our flights to a flight a few hours later (via Memphis) or
2. 1 of us could get the business class seat, and the other one could get the other flight AND get a 600 euro refund (we only paid 560 for the trip)
I really didn't want to fly seperate, but on the other hand, this was a great opportunity for one of us to fly business, and the other one to fly for free! So I talked to wielco for a bit, and decided to take the business seat (mind you I was awake all night, so I was incredibly tired) so I could just sleep... Wielco was a great sport and was also very happy with the 600 euro he got back.
He's arriving quite a few hours later, so I'm here on my own now.. who wants to party?
