    Fastest you have gone with your car?

    I decided to take out the M3 for a spin last night before the snow started to come... was easily able to hit 210KM/h (130miles) before I decided it was too fast and I would lose my licence and car right away if a cop caught me...

                                                                                          I didn't want to keep looking down at the speedo at that speed, and it was when I had a stock driveshaft on it (critical speed = 255km/hr)
                                                                                          I hope you guys realize that at that speed, you NEED to have z-rated tires, high performance driveshafts, performance brakes (unless it's a long straight road) and all sorts of other crap, or you're REALLY risking your life

                                                                                                                          I chickened out at 260 KM/h in my 97 VW GTI, I was only at 5500 RPM in 5th. It was highly tuned and not your average VW. (350+ horsepower, turbo/intercooled). It had a LOT more to give, but I wasn't willing to take the chance (Had my 15" track tires on, no traction, would have kept going if it were the 19's). My buddy had it at 295 KM/h before I had it, he's insane though.

                                                                                                                          Hooked it up to the computer once to see what my check engine light was all about and it came up with a warning "TOP SPEED EXCEEDED WARRANTY VOIDED". Heh, oops? I had a Euro cluster installed that went up to 320 KM/h, never got to see the top but I bet the car could have done it.

                                                                                                                                      On a side note, I got busted racing (210 KM/h in a 100 KM/h zone) a few weeks later and my wife made me sell the car for peanuts ($12 fucking thousand!!!!!) She ordered me to sell it to the first guy who made an offer no matter what it was. There was a ton invested in upgrades, he got a killer deal!
