Just sand and overpriced shops... nothing special in dubai. The hotel is also nothing I would like. And it nolonger is the best in the world anyway... Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi is way nicer, way bigger, and its run by Kempinski, so its more european than the other big hotels there. http://www.emiratespalace.com/en/main.htm

I was there for my honeymoon. It's really nice but there are better hotels. The price starts from 480 Euro per room.

From what ive heard my buddy just got back from there and it was a BADASS hotel they have an underwater resturant where you can see into the ocean. If you wanna go out that way I would say atleast stay there a night or two and check it out.
