my sister died exactly 6 months ago from ovary/lung/kidney/etc cancer, she started to get sick in November '06, and they couldn't figure out what it was, then her kidneys failed in late November and then eventually they found a huge tumour inside her womb/ovaries and she was dead within 2 weeks of that diagnosis (by that point it had already spread pretty much everywhere)
I don't really have much advice for you other than to be patient with them (they probably have LOTS of anger) and make sure you
take care of yourself too and talk to your friends/other family members, it can be VERY hard, and you feel so helpless, especially when those you hold so dear to you are sick...
