Yeah, that site rocks. Also, if you've never tried www.dafont.com then you're also missing out. 90% of design is in the text layout.

Save it to Photoshop and select the background and delete it. If you really want to use it then use your lasso tool and select the font and save to a new document.

Damn, you're working hard and not smart.

Open Photoshop and select your wand tool. Hold shift as you select each character and this will add each character to your selection. Then create a new document, CTRL+N and then hit CTRL+V to paste the selection. Fill it and then save it and upload it to search the font.

Not hard.

Set your tolerance to 100% so it will select the full gradient.
