Surfers also grew up reading Penthouse too. Thats certainly helps our business.
Some dudes signup just to see a certain set from the '70's they hung on their wall in college.

You have to wonder why such a big brand name as Penthouse could fuck up and do the Internet thing so badly but then look at Playboy.
1) How much content will really be on the site ?
2) Are you going to really work with Affilates or treat us like sheep and hand out hosted galleries that convert like shit and a few token banners?
3) Do you have any real webmasters with experance working for you?

Overall, webmasters who have been sending us traffic have been making around 3 cents per unique 1st page hit. That is alot better than many 'big' webmaster programs out there. This ain't some half-assed nod towards having a webmaster program. If we are going to do it- we want to do it well.Originally posted by Bake

BTW, I have no problem saying Penthouse could have done better on the internet. Launching this program is one step- among many we are taking- to do a helluva lot better. We have grown >25% in the last 7 months, and we are just starting.

What makes this site different from all the others is it's content. So many scream exclusive is the routwe, then put up a site full of content that is no different from 1000 others sites.
Penthouse is different because their are only a handful of shooters in the world who can shoot for them, and I'm not on that list. So the surfers will see a cut above the normal content. Not saying the "Reality" "Amateur" stuff is not sort after, I'm saying every third site on the net supplies it. How many supply this level of content?

I really don't know what to say. Back in the days, I made a lot of sales and it really converted. Of course, times were quite different. Then, all of the sudden you disappeared and I lost some commisions, nothing outrageous, but something around 1200 bucks or so. All representatives and support and contacts disappeared off the face of the earth. Now you're back, and honestly, guess I'll wait until everybody and their mothers start promoting you, then we'll see
Having said this, I wish you good luck and hope this time you don't fuck things up AGAIN, you really have something great

When DMR crashed we lost alot of business and their was alot of hairbrain stuff under Guccione, but Penthouse has totally new ownership, and the dot com new management, since that time. The two guys who own Penthouse now are each worth more than 100M. I wouldn't worry about Penthouse's ability to pay.Comment

1) They own common not preferred stock
2) They had to take a loan from Marc Bell in order to buy the stock, and the stock is colateral. So Marc owns a note equal to the value of the stock they bought.
3) We have since issued new stock so they only own 22% now.
You may say...mike this sounds crazy. I know.
Webmaster may think iBill was trying to rip them off, when they had their sights higher.
They wanted to raise money in the stock market, and they really wanted to be able to say....we own #1 adult billing company...AND...we own top adult brand company. The reality was not the issue for them. As long as they could say it, and it would seem credible they could find some suckers to pump the stock. As long as they could add the word 'Penthouse' to the bottom of their press releases they were happy.
The result is...iBill dudes do not call the shots at Penthouse. They don't come to our offices and walk around talking on their cell phones. We don't report to them. We don't ask them if we can make posts on GFY calling them assholes. They wanted to be able to say...We have iBill..We have Penthouse...we are going to go thru the roof...buy now!
