    Another reason to avoid BLOGGER blogs

    If I wasn't getting decent search engine traffic I would ditch Blogger immediately. They are shutting down the entire site including access to surfers at 12 noon on the weekend (instead of 2 am when MOST maintenance is done)? It seems like they WANT all serious webmasters to leave, or just don't give a fuck...

    here's the notice:

    Blogger News
    Maintenance on Saturday
    We will be upgrading our network access this weekend which will require downtime for both Blogger and Blog*Spot. The outage will occur at noon (PST) on Saturday and last for 2 hours. Thanks for your patience during this maintenance window

                                                  I hope they shutdown googlebot at the same time, otherwise one could get some problems

                                                  But you can host all of your blogs at thumblogger, and all banners are allowed. As long as it's legal though.

                                                      Another thing about blogger/blogspot... if you're running AdSense on your blogs and you are 'extra agressive' about promoting your blog, you might get Adsense disabled for your blogger/blogspot account.

                                                      Separate standalone domain blogs, based on WP, may be the way to go given this development and blogspot's bad infestation by splogs.

                                                                                  Yep. Because of splogs, blogger's advantages are eroding very quickly. Plus that blog comment blaster they are selling at clickbank is clogging up a lot of blogspot blogs with useless spam comments. There's a RIGHT way to do it and a wrong way... blog blaster uses the wrong way
