Very true.
Educating surfers is nice, but these trojans are hard to remove and it's expecially newbie surfers who get lured into installing them...they know shit about security and are happy to know how to write a letter in word and run IE.
Programs owners can help solving the problem, too. It's not like they'll get less sales if they cancel the accounts in question, because these signups are generated by honest affiliates that get fucked anyway. The trojan guys don't ever send a single signup, all they send is heaps of worthless traffic to make the stolen sales look legit.
