Quality text will, without a doubt, increase the conversion rates of a website. How can I say that? Major programs that have hired me in the past to write their tour text continue to rehire me time and again. They do it for some very simple reasons:

I believe I write better than he does. Also, if you give me a few hours I can create a special website just like his, one full of horse shit about myself that says essentially I can turn pyrite into uranium.

The truth is that writing is like any other talent. You are either someone who can sing or you are not. You are someone who can hit a curveball or you are not. You are someone who can write effectively or you are not. It isn't a coached skill, it is a talent.

All the coaching in the world may make you better at hitting a curveball than you currently are... but it wont make you nearly as proficient as Derek Jeter is - even if he never had a single lesson in hitting. Similarly, no American Idol winner will ever be a true competitor of talented singers like Annie Lennox, Enya, Bono or Sting.
