How are you spending your Veterans Day?

i'm really not working today, just messing around on the boards and had a long lunch, watched some of the coverage on cnn remembering those that have fought and died.

even though i am not patriotic anymore because i hate our government i feel like i have to pay tribute to the people i served with, and my father who never came home from vietnam.

what are you up to?

Working for another 20 mins or so, then I plan on sitting back doing much of nothing tonight, maybe having a couple beers, watching a movie and playing with the dogs. Of course I will spend some time with my wife as well

Worked from about 4am to noon.... then went to the beach for the rest of the day....took a couple more conference calls there, but I basically tried to give myself something close to a day off.....

So figure a half day off. I don't really take any time off of work normally, but I figure that I fought for it, so I'll take it.

Slept late, had big salad lunch, cleaned up some 'puters, won a couple of ebay auctions, watched vet parade on the news, watched Bush piss and moan about WMDs in Iraq and why nobody likes him anymore, studied some logic flaws, and gonna drink coffee and do homework. I stayed up till like 4am teaching myself some php coding, then watched an episode of Star Trek TNG, slept till 2pm, checked stats and stuff, had a club sammich, rode my motorcycle, ordered a few motorcycle accessories, probably going to a hockey game tonight. Not much different from any other day. As far as doing something special for myself just because its Veteran's Day, I'm just not into that.

My father-in-law sent me an IM and said he put a flag on my dad's grave since I couldnt be there to do it.
