The truth is that writing is like any other talent. You are either someone who can sing or you are not. You are someone who can hit a curveball or you are not. You are someone who can write effectively or you are not. It isn't a coached skill, it is a talent.
All the coaching in the world may make you better at hitting a curveball than you currently are... but it wont make you nearly as proficient as Derek Jeter is - even if he never had a single lesson in hitting. Similarly, no American Idol winner will ever be a true competitor of talented singers like Annie Lennox, Enya, Bono or Sting.
So... if this post was well written and effective at answering your question regarding my ability to write convincingly - hire me. If it wasn't don't.
