I started about the same time. I don't think Porn City made you do that but they might have...there was another one I used (whose name I can never fully remember) that made you do that and sent me a personal email to say sorry that the host was slow that day because somebody got listed on Persian Kitty and the whole network was crawling because of it.

As I remember I first learned programming PERL by making a topsites script and then hosting it on HYPERMART. They were great, the first host I ever found that gave you a whopping 10 MB of space plus let you run PERL scripts! God how i abused that one...

I had a broom holder with their name on it but I don't think it was DMR yet nor RJ Gordon Telcom. It was an oil company, IIRC. The 900 company I was working for was the one who brought them into the adult billing biz back around 94ish? They sent me flowers for doing something for them - can't even remember what - but I still have the card, lol.

I'm one of the few that time who left them before they went tits up and didn't
lose money with them. R.J. Gordon was the guy's name I still have an LCC
that he setup....it's in the fridge though.....bad mojo using that
