I didn't really like "house of 1000 corpses" but the sequel "the devil's rejects" I really enjoyed. I generally like most horror movies though.

The whole premise of that latest one was that the characters were supposedly a band of killers who "killed for no reason other than the thrill of it" yet they never actually explained that in the movie.
The movie just started out in the middle of a gunfight and kept going, giving no explanation for what was going on or any clue of what their motivations were. It was as though the first 20 minutes of set up had been edited out.
