I am beginning to really hate it here....almost to the point of not coming back

but in all reality, if you have some sort of business to promote it is a nice place to do it....I can put something in my sig and go crazy posting for a week, and by the end of it, everyone knows that business

I like it. There's a lot of cool people here, personas aside. Although the info threads can be spotty sometimes, there's enough of them to warrant coming back.

GFY = necessary evil. Pure shit for acquiring info and knowledge, most of the time, but decent for making B2B sales. If I didn't have products/services that cater to the webmaster market, I wouldn't be caught dead posting here.

Yeah sometimes I like to fuck around. I'm just saying, it would be nice to have an all-business forum here, and people that post stupid shit get shown the door and not allowed back in.

I went this whole weekend without checking gfy and when i came to work this morning, i went through 8 pages of unread threads and only opened 6 threads. That tells you how much info i found relevant around here these days.

I've been posting less and less lately because they not only closed my Fonz thread, they made me get rid of my sig for being too big, but allow someone else whos name will go unmentioned to have a sig 4 times as big as mine.

I agree totally. So much bullshit, and yeah, sure I act like a goofy pirate, but I do try with my useful posts to help people out. It gets harder, and harder to do that lately, and I like helping people.

Killing a thread that everyone liked, (the fonz thread Shoehorn! started ) while allowing all the other shit, left a bad taste in my mouth. It gets worse each day it seems.
