                  Are you talking HDV or Hd two very different things, since Im a vegas man I can edit both with no sweat. THe only reason I couldnt do pure hd currently is I dont have enough empty hard drive space to do it.

                      i know SFA about video but i thought HD was just better resolution so if you can import it to an AVI or whatever you should be able to edit it with premiere or anything ?

                                          Almost every program out there can now edit HDV. And you can pick up HDV cams for as little as $2k so these guys bragging about "shooting HD" are merely trying to impress people who don't know much about video.

                                          If you want to edit "real" HD then you need to stick to programs like Final Cut or Avid.

                                          I can do whatever you need.

                                              Actually final Cut and Avid dont handle Hd as well as Vegas , Vegas has been Hd ready since version 4.

                                                  I know Vegas can edit HD but don't you need some additional hardware for that? I have Vegas 4 on my computer and use it from time to time for specific tasks.
