    So many Fort Lewis soldiers are being killed in Iraq the Army base will no longer hold individual memorial services.

    Starting next month Fort Lewis says it will hold one memorial a month for all the dead soldiers.

    also don't forget: US has 200.000 homeless vets

          what I also don't get is why people keep thinking the Republicans are the party for the military, while vets are overwhelmingly running as Democrats

                  That's just some good ol' fashioned Compassionate Conservatism at work. Fort Lewis, you're doing a heckuva job. Kudos on your efforts to streamline the process and to complete the circle of treating human beings like disposable playthings.
