    which site counters/trackers are best?

    Never really searched.. but could do with better ones for my sites, so not just a page tracker.

    Used sextracker a long time, and now sexcounter.com. Stats are pretty good with some nice detalis, but very slow to work with.. and every month or so, all historical stats gone.. not great

    Any good free ones out there guys?

                                      I'm using Sexcounter too and it's fine for me, usually. It does have bugs though, not least the fact that the support ticket system has been broken for months, but it's free and easy.

                                          I was using AWStats when I was running my blog on my little computer at the house. I will now have to find something else now that I have a virtual host right now until all get all my blogs I am planning up and running.

                                                  I've been wondering about a conspiracy theory regarding free stats counters.

                                                  there's a reason they are free. Here's my conspiracy theory. Surfer visits your site. the counter loads & tons of cookies are dropped into the surfers cache. Some of these cookies could be of the same sponsors you promote. surfer clicks join link on your page, buys membership, counter gets credit for the sale, not you.

                                                  What made me think this? I emptied my cache. Visited one of my OWN pages & know my own page does not drop cookies, but damn it, the cache had around a hundred or so sponsor cookies in it.. fucking put there by the counter!!!

                                                  OH, and message boards do this too?????
