Amongst the current field of potential candidates, I would say that Hillary is certainly worthy of my vote.

If I were to consider a Republican at this point, I would have to say that I have the utmost respect for John McCain, however at 72 (in 2008), he will be two years elder than Ronald Reagan was when he was elected (Reagan in his latter years proved that being President is a younger man's game - as I recall, Reagan didn't even know how to use a computer).

I'm not sure how many know it, but there are only three Senators in the entire U.S. Senate who are Vietnam veterans (Chuck Hagel and John Kerry being the other two). This is noteworthy because I am a Vietnam-era veteran (although I did not serve in Vietnam, and I am still under 50 years old), and I believe a Veteran would be less likely to lead us down the path to war (let alone lie about it and do as poor of a job as Dubya has).

I sincerely hope that if McCain does run that he defeats the sleazy Guliani in the primary election, and that he does not pick him as a running mate. We've suffered enough embarrasments in the past several years.

By the time the Supreme Court is filled, the ultra-conservative wing of the Republican party will have stacked it with enough votes that they likely will be able to make law their outdated views.

All we have to do is wait for the social upheaval to begin. News for all you neo-cons - if you fear a woman in the White House, be very afraid about the women and men who will rise up against you to ensure that women preserve their hard fought for rights, including the right to exercise their reproductive rights.

Hillary may not be popular with some of the neanderthals that have posted in this thread, but she will create a groundswell of excitement, and she is both bright and articulate. I genuinely wish her all the best and would be much happier to have her serving as the Commander and Chief than the current clown.
