I for 1 loved Superman - it was part of my young years - those movies and stuff I looked up to. When he got hurt and then died years later, I felt so bad for his wife, kids and family.

You don't know her personally and have no idea how she uses her money. Even if she had savings the medical bills for the sort of accident she has had would do most of us in without insurance. Life throws you curve balls and they are very rarely at times when we are prepared for them.

In addition to which, Reeves was a very brave man that could have just rolled over and died straight away but instead in the time he had left he allowed his body to be used to experiment in ways that will help diabled people down the line. As someone who had a disabled partner I appreciate that.

I think most disabled people would "stand up for" or "sit down for" stem cell research. He simply had the ability and fame to make it more newsworthy.
