Look, I'm just bumping this because I can't think of my next line of code right now, but....
Wouldn't it just be a : select count(*) from [table] [[tables]] where [something] [[..something]] ?
Aren't blogs just a matter of database output, thus a query would work?
Or are you talking about a remote blog with no DB access, just crawler access?
