CNN: Jobs to kill IPOD porn.

Something about a content licensing thingy hes gonna start adding to IPOD software and stuff sold on ITunes. They mentioned an un-named "big time porn producer" and his intentions on releasing IPOD porn. They also mentioned the website that teaches you how to convert porn videos without quicktime.

Meaning adding your own videos to the IPOD Video may soon be a thing of the past.

proprietary shit is a good way to kill a good thing.

And Linux is the perfect thing to make work arounds. Genie is out of the bottle, there will be nothing Jobs can do.

The situation is similer with SONY PSP.
With Linux there are ways to work around things easily.
So in short...

Jobs can't and wont stop shit, though he can fight it all he wants even if he is blue in the face trying.

I got porn pumped into Cell phones, PSP's and Ipods. I am not worry about these execs screaming about removing adult from these mobile cast devices.

It won't happen.
Anyone in Mainstream that wants to put a movie on the net for such mobile devices has to use a codec of some sort and with hacks or alternative downloaded codecs that patch mobile devices created by the open source community it could create a circle but ultimatly in the end it will result on consumers getting the media they want and willing to pay for, and oddly enough they want ADULT ENTERTAiNMENT.

With portable storage devices built in these things the sky's the limit especially as the storage devices get bigger every month.

For example Transflash cards are flying off the shelves. They are hard to keep in stock at electronics store fronts.

i don't know why i just cant get into carrying around my own porn. with as easy as it is to get on the net and or a laptop or even a dvd player at home, why they hell would you want to beat off to a 2.5 inch screen. doesn't make sense to me. i'm not bashing anyone mobile, just sayin, the last thing i think of is hey let me flip open my motorola razor and go for it. hotels all have broadband now mostly, laptops are dirt cheap, harddrives are bigger, video quality had come a long way, now even to HD with you mark. can someone explain to me why mobile is such a big deal? i can see taking your personal favorite stuff that gets you off and loading it onto an ipod, but the whole phone thing and market for it all just doesn't have me convinced. not that i a mobile pron expert by any means.

Jobs doesn't care, this is just PR. He doesn't want people to think ipod=pornpod. For all I know, Jobs is probably rubbing one out to his own video ipod.

Who believes consumers are thinking, you can get porn on this? no way I'm going to buy it! No fucking way, its the other way around. Porno means more money for Jobs and Apple, same shit with VCRs and DVDs.
