Phlegm certainly gets my vote for most annoying bodily fluid. Does it even have a purpose other than making having a chest infection go from inconvenient to being a living hell?

I like it, especially when you wake up in a morning after a loooong lie in, and it feels like the same piece thats in your mouth is also half way down your throat...
...so then you cough up this 'snake like' phlegm and what makes it 100x better is then it's likely to be chewy!!! So you can play with it in your mouth while you walk to the bathroom to send it on it's way....
Phlegm is cool
..... it also traps air particles from going into the lungs

lol..I know what you mean and it is like there are little phlegm gnomes that wait until right before you are about to go to bed to step up the productions to a rate that makes it impossible to sleep without feeling like you are hacking up a lung all night long.

Phlegm is just pure fun - nothing like when you drink some orange juice in the morning and it combines with phlegm to create "won't-get-the-fuck-out-of-your-throat-em" which nearly chokes you from breathing all day.
