Any way to resolve this? I tried searching for info on google and came up with nothing. Basically when i go to log on to the computer it says i have one new mail message when i don't. Restarting doesn't help.

mine does the same thing, it goes away after awhile...
it happens when my friends login to msn messenger and it shows how many emails they have...

May be you guys need to check your system for some adware? where does the link leads you when u click on that mail alert?

I've had that happen also and I have all "notices" turned off.
It's rare but it happened more than once.

I fixed it by sending myself a message, it went away after viewing it.you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment
