Best post so far.Good lord the Clinton humpers on this board are as bad the Bush lovers, say something negative about bubba and the only reply is better then the current administration.... Well that really doesn't say a lot for Bill does it.
Bill wasn't all that bad but history wont put him anywhere near the the best, he was fortunate enough to get elected right as the tech boom was starting but the good times were not a result of anything he did. He boasted of a balanced budget, but if you go back and like through the GOA you'll see it was all smoke and mirrors.
And yes his foreign policy did help the rise to the current problem with Al Qaeda, bitch and moan all you want about Iraq/Bush and I'll agree with you but it is fact Clinton and his administration could have captured bin Laden on several occasions and passed because they didn't view him as a threat even though he was tied to the first World Trade Center bombing, Kenya and Nairobi embassy bombings and the USS Cole.
In his defense though, his administration did screw the pooch in 93 with the Mogadishu/Blackhawk down incident, which took all the wind out of any military sails of his presidency.
So in conclusion Bush sucks and Clinton was over rated and I pray to god Hilary is not elected, she is not what this country needs after the Bush fiasco, she will divide us even more.

From the little I know about Clinton, I think that if the World Trade Centre atrocity had occurred during his presidency we would be looking at a different world now. I think he would have handled Bin Laden very differently, rather than bombing innocent Afghans. I think his strength and calm would have been massive assets, and although the pressure would be piling on him he would have tried to take on Al Qaeda without mashing the whole of Afghanistan along the way.
What would have happened with Saddam? Well, I honestly don't know. I like to think he would have put more into an investigation before sending in the troops, and I would like to think he'd have more respect for the United Nations than Bush did. Not saying he wouldn't have sent the troops in anyway, just that more thought would have been put into it.
Like I say though, I'm really talking from hope, I don't know enough about the US presidents, so please forgive me if you think I'm talking crap.

I am an independant. I voted for Reagan and Clinton, so mr. low IQ figure that one out. I vote for the person who I think has the smarts and personality to run this country. I have no idea how the current pres made it thru grade school, let alone became president.
I point the blame where blame is due. Clinton tried and failed to get Bin Laden. Every time he tried the conservatives cried wag the dog. Bush was warned and did absolutely NOTHING. As someone who lived 2 blocks from ground zero with my family, I have a slightly different perspective than someone at how watching on CNN.
As for you "meeting" Richard Clark. I didn't know seeing a speaker was "meeting". I also find it curious that he spoke at Cuyahoga Falls Beauty School.Comment

The leaders of many nations chose to have their military partake in that conflict in order to stop it, obviously for good reason, yet every so often you get some asswipe saying "man, Clinton fucked up there, the USA had no business going in there".... retarded.
