i havent heard anything myself, but as the fight was going and as he took the hit, everyone in the room was saying how bad he looked, beer belly lookin and all...when he was moving, his muscles werent tense and built like rampage, or even himself in the past for that matter.

For those of you who said Chuck didn't take this fight seriously, you are wrong.
This was one of Chuck's paybacks, and even Hackleman, Chuck's trainer said he was focused on winning.
So let me educate you on what happened, so that you can all tell your friends with authority how Rampage won.
Chuck is a counter puncher. He baits his oppoents to follow him, then cuts an angle, and counter punches. All of Chuck's best knockouts have been when he out manuevered his opponents and got a punch or kick from the sides.
Rampage knows this. If you re watch the fight, you can see Quinton does not move forward or back, he moves left to right, which is called cutting the cage off.
Chuck is not known for his aggressive jabs, and his whole game went to shit. Chuck threw a hook that Rampage ducked under, and returned with his own, which knocked Chuck down.
The subsequent elbow, then 1st punch knocked Chuck out, the 2nd punch, woke him back up, but then John McCarthy stopped the fight.

American Top Team went 3 for 3 tonight!
Kalib Starnes put that fucker Leben hopefully out for good in the UFC.
Din Thomas showed what Brazillian Jiu Jitsu is all about.
Wilson Gouveia probably broke his opponent's leg tonight. His Muay Thai coach says Wilson is the hardest kicker at American Top Team, and it definately showed tonight.

It's no big secret. Everyone knows this, Fighter or Fan. Chuck plays a great game, and has been the dominant UFC fighter for a very long time as Light Heavyweight.
With Rampage as Champ, the UFC is gonna shoot up another level. Rampage is the most charismatic fighter ever, and has been one of my favorites for a very long time. I was one of the fans who thought maybe Rampage lost it after getting the savage beat downs by Chute Boxe's Wanderlai Silva. I was wrong, this isn't the old Rampage, this is a brand new Rampage, and he's a force.
What's gonna be interesting is when Hendo fights Rampage. Hendo has been moving up for a very long time, and was considered an under rated fighter. It is no joke being a Champ in Pride. To hold two weight classes, 185, and 205 is Godlike status, espeically since PRIDE fighters have this aura about being better than UFC fighters.
It doesn't matter now, because they all fight for Zuffa, who owns UFC and PRIDE.
This is definately the year of the upsets for MMA.

hendo will beat rampage i have no doubt about that. one thing rampage had going for him against chuck was that he could handle chucks power. most of the guys that chuck knocked out couldnt handle his power or they might have had much different fights.
rampage tried cutting him off and knew he could handle his power so he wasnt afraid to trade with him and land one of his own.Comment

Quentin Jackson is a threat to anybody in the world, anytime. If you can 'handle' Chuck Liddell's power you can handle anyones. They're not wearing boxing gloves and you don't have to be a crushing puncher to knock someone out in MMA.

look i like rampage and ufc is the right place for him. but lets be serious, rampage wasn't at the top in pride, he was up there near it for a bit but he couldnt beat the best guys in his weight division. thats why he left and signed with an organization that doesnt even exist anymore and did one fight with them, and that was well before pride was sold. he wanted top 3 money and was only a top 10 fighter who had lost to the best 4 or 5 guys in his weight division already in pride. it just so happens that all of those guys just like rampage were better than anyone in the ufc.Comment

He was the best fighter in Pride outside of Vanderleigh Silva and I thought the Silva fights ruined him given his recent performances, but glory be he's back and apparently as good as ever now. lidell was never shit to me, he was king of the ufc but thats it. pride has always had better fights and better fighters. rampage was not top 3 and wanted top 3 money like i said. thats why he signed for a no name new org in the us that went out of business after one event. dont even start to bring up pound for pound with guys like fedor and shogun out there.Comment
