I have a few long flights to deal with in the next few months and I'm considering PSP to keep me entertained (i.e. video games). Is the thing worth it? What are the good games? I prefer the first person shoot em' up type of games.

I like mine. It's good for killing time when you're just sitting around -- doctor's office, plane, etc.
I enjoy MLB "The Show," and most of the sports games, like Madden.Comment

if u like the first person shooters you'll love socom! It even allows online play for it! The psp is worth it. you can even hop on the net with it and keep up with gfy lol Its worth it now that it isn't $500 anymore.

Great for flying, I also convert movies and transfer them onto it. The Wifi and web browser are even decent for checking quick things (about the same as a browser on a cell phone).Comment

I mine for reading e-books. There are some nice free apps for doing just that. You can put thousands of text into that fucker.Comment
