mabye its new and the pr on it hasnt updated yet? it IS indexed and on a pretty high ranking domain (wired.com). so really its that that big of a surprise. PR is very important, but theres a lot more to getting high listings than PR.

I am not sure why youre surprise lol
if the NYTimes would come up witha big porn story or and .edu or gov domain they would rank well instantly
not much of a big deal

It is a high pr domain, what the fuck are you talkin about.

Tons of top spots have a 0 pr ( i have many myself ). But i assure you they didnt get there with a bunch of pr0 links.

I was not suprised by the high ranking - Christ it is Wired.com, all I was trying to point out was that PR on a particular page means nothing, and that there are so many other facters that boost a page up.

were you aware that if it indexed sometime after the last PR update that it will show PR0 even if its a PR9 until they update PR again?
