HSBC Bank is good, I have a small account with them, just know that if you open one in the USA, it's not the same bank overseas, even though it says HSBC Bank. Each bank is separately owned, so if you open in NYC but walk into HSBC in Bangkok and try to deposit or withdraw money, it's not gonna happen, unless you are using your ATM card.
