which do you recommend? the only movies i really like are mob movies and epic movies about actual history like those i named...what are some other tight ones like those?

Also check out John Boorman's Excalibur (1981) - if you ain't seen it yet, its one of the better medieval period flicks.
(look for Patrick 'Capt Picard' Stewart in a bit role, heh)

Kingdom of heaven was really good from a historical standpoint. The special features on the DVD make it the best rental of the three.I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

Watch BoB (band of brothers) marathon style (all 10 episodes right after each other). They are an hour long each, so it takes about 12 hours (including bathroom and food breaks).
It'll change you for sure, it is quite an experience

The movie Troy didn't even follow the legend. They took a brief synopsis of the legend/history and totally changed it. Read up on it, its pretty funny how the movie is so different.
