Carter bashes Bush!

I don't like either one.
If you listen to President Carter speak you would see that sometimes he sounds like he's lost it.
I am the last to defend Bush but I don't recall President Carter team doing much better when it came to middle east policies when he was a president.
If it was me in his shows, I keep my mouth shot.
Oh what about the huge inflation and unemployment rates during President Carter time in the white house ? Guess he forgot to mension that.
I say to both of them.

i used to hate jimmy carter when I was a kid because he kept interrupting my afternoon cartoons to make speeches.

Nice to see a politician (even a retired one) cutting through the bullshit, though i feel he might be doing it for news coverage and promotion of his bible thing.

Carter talking bad about ANY president is ridiculous. I havent seen any gas lines and limits on how much you could buy in recent times. This I know.

It's very unusual to see an ex president tear into a sitting president. Carter really has gone into untravelled territory. Carter did however push for alternative fuel sources and less dependency on foreign oil. That's what doomed his ass in the elections. Him being a nuclear expert he knew the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear power.

Carter's no softee. He was offered pro football and athletics careers before he became a naval officer. Boxing or wrestling was one of his other accomplishment if I recall.

Carter made major headway in Middle East relation twixt Israel and Egypt a true first but then the mongrels assassinated Anwar Sadat in retaliation.

Carter did more good than bad but his mistake was pissing off the middle east greed barons and oil barons.

He also kept meddling around with the Soviets by thwarting their attempts at putting down Muslim terrorism. We see where that led to. Carter's people initiated the support of Saddam and Bin Laden which then carried on into today.

The Soviets had wanted to stomp the Muslim uprisings flat way backthen but Carter intervened with billions of dollars in support for the Afghani resistance forces.

We see where that went.

So basically, the USA were to Afghanistan what Iran is to Iraq today ...
Ironic no ...
Wonder if the USSR made pressure to stop the flow of armement from America to the terrorists ...
