Google got the money, so if Google thinks you shouldn't have this domain and sends a C&D, I wouldn't argue...it's not about right, wrong, legal, illegal.

Microsoft has been bypassing the C&D's lately and going straight to lawsuits. I heard some squatters were settling with them for $2K per domain in the UK. Not sure what will happen to the ones that decide to go all the way to court, they could see some major penalties.

Google probably won't do that unless you ignore their C&D.
