You went to sleep at 1am. 3am You Decided yo fat ass was a lil hungry and had nothing in the fridge. You slip on some jogging pants, some gym shoes, and a sweater to ride to an all night restuarant. As you leave out your house into the frontayrd. You notice a silhouette is in you car acting erratic... Then it hits you... SOMEONE'S STEALING YOUR CAR!!!

I woke up once to 3 guys breaking into my car. My girl called 911 and I went after them. I caught one and pinned him down until the cops came. The other 2 got away.

We pressed charges as did about 10 other people who the police found out got jacked by them the same night.

Yea but if you kill him you run the risk of going to prison regardless of him trying to rob your car.

Im not sure what I would do. I imagine I would yell to be sure he knew someone was around then probably try to call 911. Chances are the fucking guy would run the minute he knew someone was around. IF the cops were around they may find him right away.

well, i would have had my gun since i have a ccw permit.... so what i would have WANTED to do would be to take the guy down at gunpoint n hold him there while calling 911...but then i woulda ended up in jail because i wasnt in danger at that point... so what i WOULD have done would be to call 911 and try to not let him see me so that he wouldnt run, and hope the cops got there fast enough.... even tho i woulda rather go for option one... nothing worse than thieves (except child molesters, rapist, and politicians)... they all need to be shot, or atleast hurt abit... but society says that vigilante justice is wrong... and i aint goin to jail over a thief.

since you never know if he has a gun or not, and even if you shoot him and he is still alive with the laws he can sue you - plus you dont know if its your teen kid making out with his girlfriend in the back of daddy's car. Added to that, who's to say that he doesnt have a spotter nearby who is ready to pounce on you in case.

simply put, you have no other solution than call the cops. Thats why they are there, anything else and you likely can face more jail time than the person ripping you off.
