Great idea and like you said it's just for your room so it's not like you would be on it all the time for your use you shouldn't have to worry about burn in or eye strain.Comment

Television LCDs will not have a sufficient resolution for computer output
Some higher end sets that do HD are a possibility. Look for something with DVI or HDMI input
I have two 20" LCDs set up and I find it sufficient. There are also some nice 24" modelsComment

37" diagonal with that kind resolution would it not feel just like 800x600 on 15"?Originally posted by wargameshttp://www.westinghousedigital.com/p...rod-37w1.shtml

can do you split screen as if you worked on two or more LCDs? I've got a triple lcd system in place and it would be nice to replace with 1 big monitor, but I sitll like to keep maximized applications in 3 different screens. will this work?» Looking for Type-in domais? i figure for the monitor that big having 1920x1080 might be a good for TV or as a presentation monitor but if you gonna work on it you might end up feeling like you're back in time on 800x600..Originally posted by KRoshHow do you figure?

now if 1920x1080 was doubled up that would be a kickass res
but thats just me using 1600x1024 on 19" isn't enough, its like 1024x768 on 17"Comment
