I know you said you've got a lawyer involved, so this might be kind of moot, but has your lawyer already sent them an official letter? If their legal department gets a demand threatening legal action with decent damage claim, it may just be enough to make someone go sit on someone that can do it until they do.
Every big corporation I've ever worked at had at least one thing in common: When legal said to do something NOW, no questions asked and delays it simply got done.
