$250 I can't touch. What next?

Okay, so here's the short version: I was going to order a phone from Virgin Mobile. They double-charged me, then told me that they had NO evidence of any transaction whatsoever.

Fine.

Epassporte says they can't do shit until Virgin Mobile faxes them to let them know it's cool to release the funds back into my account.

Virgin Mobile has no record of any transaction. Thus, they have nothing to fax.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

So NOW what do I do, continue to do the whole "okay, I just called them, they said this. Right....Okay, I just called THEM and they said THIS....." bit or do I just go postal?

yea never use the epass cc. Only to send money to others. Real credit cards are less hassle.

Treat the people on the phone as human beings, if you rant and rave you'll be treated like a crank.

If it gets to it, visit their office in person, but be polite.

Doubt my advice helped, but you sound rather distraught.

I don't usually have any troubles with them at all. But this is BEYOND annoying.

I was beginning to think that my actually being a nice person to them over the phone was part of the problem.

Thank you, but I've done that on several occasions and each time they tell me "Yes, we'll do that"

They say they've sent it, and my epass account should state that it's expected, but I've heard nothing.

epass is fine for p2p but only an idiot would use thier cc online.

hell if i saw a $250 charge on my amx and the company had no record of it i call amx do a chargeback and let the other company worry about the overbilling.

The initial $250 could be an "authorization" to see if the funds are available, and the second is an actual withdrawl.

In which case, the $250 will magically re-appear once the authorization clears in 30 days.

Ah, ok then... the first $125 could have been an authorization to see if the funds were available and the second the actual withdrawl.

I had the same thing happen with paypal. And I remember someone else having the same problem with epass on here a couple months ago.

Usually when a double rebill occurs, one will drop off in a 3-5 days. In the meantime, print out the info from epass and fax to virgin. It will get straightened out but will take a little time.

You can always file a complaint.

It's epass fault ... they always do that with the CC ... double charge and hold founds for 30 days.

Yup happened twice to me too. One time they charged 5 times. Took 2 weeks to get it back. Epass is fine for sending and ATM and nothing else.

What they did with me was put the double transaction aside since they have to let it go in 10 days if its not used and still approved and increase the account with the same amount. But thats off the record. For real they do need that fax yes and that sucks but its common cc use...

I agree 100%, as any "real" financial institution would do. epassporte is a joke I would never trust a cent to them, their reputation is nothing but 1 horror story to the next, and you can never get any issues resolved immediately on the phone it takes a public post on a board called go fuck yourself to get a 1/2 assed reply??..hahahahaha
