I've had mine for awhile ..you've seen them .. it's great ..I have to upgrade to flat panels ... i have 2 17" reg ones now ... Ghetto set up but it works ..

its an amazing difference, my original 17' is a reg dell but my new 17' dell is the 1704fpt and its amazing

I really couldn't work without it ... i have email on one side and you can spread you ICQ's all around makes cut and paste really nice ...just can't be beat ..

no clue, but so far today its been soooo much better for me not having to search through 5 different windows on 1 screen. all day i've had my TGP scripts open and a few other progs while surfing

Ultramon - http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ adds a shit load of functionality to multiple monitor setups.

I'm using 2 GeForce 7800 GTX Extreme's = 4 DVI outputs. If you're looking for a card that can handle 3 monitors but can't really play games Matrox has put out a few triple head cards.
