i'm picking rampage over liddell. after seeing liddell throw in the towel against rampage during their Pride fight i'm thinking rampage might have a mental edge over liddell. it's obvious they both kick some major ass but i'm thinkin' rampage may have chucky's number.
I couldn't pick one or the other this time though. Ever since Rampage found god and lost to W.Silva he hasn't been the same. He use to have a real killer kind of instinct that seems to have died down. If Rampage isn't mentally there like he use to be in fights then I don't see how he will win.
From what I read Shogun broke Rampages ribs in that fight. I am guessing that's what he's yelling to his coach. You can even see him kind of holding his arms around his ribs in dire pain. I'm sure those knees hurt like hell but that's Rampage...
It's unlikely Shogun or anyone else would be able to break Rampages ribs again by throwing knees. I'm not saying it isn't a good gameplan but most of the time that wouldn't happen.
isn't the last of the fights which chuck is avenging a loss
he avenged his loss to horn and the natural
rampage is the last guy who beat him that he need

Man this fight looks horrible. How slow was chuck in this fight. His hand speed and the way he throws punches now is wayy different. This wont be the same fight at all. This video of the past fight just looks slow and boring. Hope the fight is better then this one.
Could go either way. Chuck is a different fighter now. Also, aren't there slightly different rules in UFC compared to Pride. I wish Pride was on cable. It looks much more hardcore than UFC - more and better fighters.

In Pride you could stomp on someone's head while they were on the mat, can't do that in UFC.
Can't knee to the head on the ground in UFC, but in the UFC, unlike Pride you can throw elbows. Last I heard they were trying to add knees to the unified rules.

What for? To turn it into the kind of fighting made for fighters who can't fight?

Apparently you you don't know much bout MMA. Tell Fedor he can't fight cause he likes to knee.
The point is to make it as complete a sport as it can be.
I love Rampage but I wasn't convinced in his fight against Beastman. He kept ducking low to avoid Beastman's combos and Beastman wasn't savvy enough to follow up with knees and kicks.
Chuck has been on a tear lately. He hits so hard it's like he's packing plates in his gloves. His game has evolved and he's a smarter more disciplined fighter now.
My heart is with Rampage but my $$$$ is on Liddel.
Chuck wasn't the figther he is now, back when he faced jackson. should be a good fight, but liddell is out to prove something. i say he knocks rampage out in the 2nd.

pride is on brighthouse channel 39 i think it is here in tampa
I like them both. It's going to be an intersting fight, hopefully. I will take Rampage for shits and giggles...OH and now that the UFC has acquired Pride, I wonder what sorts of changes there will be with the rules...It's awesome that everyone will be able to fight each other!!
Is there any doubt that Rampage is going to leave chuck a greasy smear on the canvas?
While I want Rampage to win, I doubt he will... He's been comming out a bad loosing streak and I think Dana put him agaisn't the big man way too quickly.
I've seen a bet for rampage at 3.25... really great odds. Probably the best MMA fight to bet on if you ask me. (Rampage beeing the underdog)
But saying Rampage will destroy Chuck is dumb.

It will be unified MMA rules (elbows allowed, no knees on the ground, no suplex on the head, no foot stomps etc no freak shows and no 265 pounds + guys).
The fight will be in a ring and they will still keep putting the fighters in the middle when they are on the ground near the end of the ring.
As far as mega fights happening, if they manage to save pride's reputation in japan (lost TV deal a while ago... and lots of fighters), this could create one mega-huge MMA tournament.

Not likely to happen the way Dana has been talking lately

Why not ? The clinch got Rampage many time. I wouldn't be surprised if Lidell trained the clinch a lot in case rampage got near him.

I don't see Chuck standing one round agaisn't Fedor.

different weight classes.. IMo there is no one that can stand toe to toe with fedor
Chuck walks around at 225 or more, as does Crocop who fights heavyweight. No reason Chuck couldn't fight Fedor. Hell Lindland fights 185 and he fought Fedor.
The way fights have been going lately with incredible one punch upsets like Serra and a few others. Anything could happen. I'm done betting on the UFC. Just sit back watch and enjoy. Everyone has a punchers chance.
I'm picking Liddell in this one for the simple reason that he probably wants the win more and also considering the fact that Liddell was injured in his first fight with Rampage. It's bound to be an interesting fight though no matter what happens. Al least it's not going to be another CroCop disaster. No doubt Rampage is a great fighter, but I think that Liddell has the edge over him this time.
