I think the shipper (oxeo) should be held responsible for all damages. The way everything was packaged just screams malicious intentions. You don't cram a 7k 30lb object in such a small box with only bubble wrap. It's just common sense.
I'll be staying away from oxeo. Which is a shame, since I had them on my list of "trusted" providers.

Just for the record. I have no problems with Oxeo. I have 2 dedicated servers with them and they also write any programs I can dream up.
Looks like the shipping company they used, dropped the ball.

Thats not that bad, we have had some servers come to us that looked like they were dropped off a building. We got this one dell server in from a client that was so damaged it litterly fell apart when we removed it from the box. We always use injectible foam it is the safest way to ship, never leave it up to a shipping center with $6 an hour employees to ship expensive equiptment. But i do agree its a real shitty thing trying to trick you into resigning all your servers for another year, not a good way to run a businessComment
