Lastly Mark, you posted in one of your earlier posts that perhaps the photog just had a bad day and that's why the pictures look like crap. Hey, if anyone can relate to that...it's me. Actually, anybody who strives to do good creative work on a consistant basis can relate to that statement. We've all been there. But I don't think this is the case with these images and if it were, Asher should never have posted those pics bragging that they were shot with a $20,000 camera. This has turned into quite a funny thread. Not one time in this thread did I say that we here at matrix content have PERFECTED the hasselblad H1D. Obviously since we have shot on film through out our existance, it will take some time for us to get it down, the same way we had shooting on film down. The point was just to inform you "people" that we are shooting on the Hasselblad, but why would I expect anything different from, keyboard warrirors, out to make their miserable little lives more interesting by hating on people who are far more successful and skilled than they would ever hope to be...........Asher Hardt

I sometimes cringe at the amount of "airbrushing" Matrix do, but on the whole I'm a fan of their content. It seems odd they chose pics to show off their new camera that aren't up to their usual standard, but the color balance, brightness and contrast all seem off to me.Comment

Matrix has sold a lot of content and has done it very well and filled a niche with a good photographer and some great photoshop people. Unfortunately from what i hear it isn't the same as it use to be there too bad...but still criticising another photgrapher is petty. Especially after you see how much of Matrix's content is out there.
Deans photography is some of the best I have seen around here.
Another note too I have seen alien's photography and it is agreat too. you have a good eye. I just wish you would get some more Models to shoot...ha ha.
Basically this just abunch of bruised egos over the years of competition and really to be truly sucessful I think a little humility and positivity would help.
On another point Asher if you guys buy a new 20k back for your camera you better make sure the pics are awesome, unfortunaely they aren't your regular stuff you guys shoot. anyway carry on nothing to see here folks.Comment

Unfortunately the pictures are gone so I can't comment on them. But some things are coming through very clear.
This is a porn board and the quality of photography rarely gets a guys dick hard. It's the quality of the porn doing that and if you don't understand that you need to learn it fast.
A $12,000 digital camera is worthless for the big paying section of the porn photo market. For that you need film as the big buyers do not buy much on digital. Many reasons and if you do not know then again go learn if you want to sell to that market.
A market that returns $4,000 for a solo girl set as a norm.
When I want real quality I shoot on film because it will be a long time before a $12,000 digital camera replaces a $200,000 drum scanner.
The great thing about the pictures in this thread is not the camera, it's the lens and the lighting techniques.Comment

While I don't claim to have any superior knowledge of anything regarding photography, I did have an interesting conversation with a good friend of mine who's in charge of most all the coloring done at this little mainstream company. The convo was basically about the fact that shooting in HD is a very expensive proposition, mostly due to the amount of work and post production it takes to make it worth the use of the cameras. Makeup artists are also partly to blame since things that work normally, well, apparently even a minor difference in coloring between the makeup and the flesh shows up clearly... lighting is more critical as well from what he tells me.
