"key ports" problem - msn messenger won't connect

    "key ports" problem - msn messenger won't connect

    Yesterday i spent a long time deleting some spyware crap. Everything works fine again but msn messenger does not.
    When i press "sign in" nothing happens.

    In tools - options - connections, when i do a test it says it can't connect to the key ports whatever those are.

    It also says it might be a firewall or router problem. Well, nothing has changed there so i highly doubt thats the case.

    Anybody had this before and got it fixed? Google isnt helping me much.

      Reinstalling would probably be your best (and fastest) chance of fixing things.

                  install some other messenger that connects to MSN and see if it works (trillian? or whatever, there're some others)

                      try www.miranda-im.com and see if it works that way

                      Btw wasn't you arrested for getting girls naked on MSN, and then publish the pics, if they won't insert toys :D

                                                  are you getting the same error on MSN Messenger as opposed to Windows messenger?

                                                      Windows messenger runs fine...msn messenger is giving me the problems. Its driving me nuts.

                                                          Maybe MSN is into some updating or something on their messenger. Yahoo is having some technical problems as well.
