Lasik... Anyone have it done?

it's awesome...although they can only make your eyes as good as they can with glasses/contacts, so I still cant see as good as I could when I was a kid...but it beats the hell out of putting in contacts everyday.. The operation is only about 5 mins, but it's a bit strange...they force your eye open, and then cut it ....then laser your eye(you can smell it burning) ... I couldn't feel a thing and I noticed the difference the second it was done....but then had about a week where my eyes were closed most of the time

I could never do it, just the fack that some will cut my eye makes it hurt and feel uncomfortable just thinking about it.

i got it done and love it. My left eye gets dry from time to time but after a couple of years it does not bother me anymore.

I'll stick to my daily disposable contacts, i don't want my eyes lasered. Who knows if people will be going blind from the residual effects of this operation when they are 70 or 80 years old.

that is a pretty old way of doing it, it is MUCH more automated these days

I had it done less than 2 years ago and it was scary as shit, but WELL worth it

I see better than 20/20 now

i repeat, it was SCARY AS HELL to have it done

ah, yeah, one bad lasik video out of the millions of procedures performed every year

I would imagine if you gathered all the surgeons together from all over the world they wouldn't have a perfect track record either

hell, I bet even a Vet has killed a dog or two by accident

The doc I went to has performed over 30,000 procedures and not one single failure...I think that is a pretty damn good record
