It'll be cheaper than if all the animals get loose, start to breed in the streets and we have to pay people to round them up and incenerate them. Plus the disease.

No but I have a friend who worked for years at the animal control here putting animals to sleep and burning them up so I can imagine what it would be like if all the fuckin' beasts around here got loose and started running wild. It's a bad enough problem already and they barely have the means to take care of the current situation let alone what would happen if things escalated.
Also the animal control shelter here is the local place to take your pets during the storm, which is already open and not using any more tax dollars than usual.

i agree that theres too many pets out there. it would be easier to get a fixed cat/dog if the goverment funded specific buildings were people could go to get thier animals fixed for free.

when i got my cat from a shelter (he was too young to be fixed), i knew i had to do it in the future so i called the local vet...$300!!! wtf?? lol thats insane. i know alot of people dont have $300 to shell out to get their cat/dog fixed. would definatly help alot.

If people do not have 300 bucks to "shell out" for their pets, they shouldn't have pets in the first place.

Animal shelters in Flordia are probably one of the better "wastes of tax dollars" than what the government spends on other things.
