    Does servermatrix always suck donkeyballs?

    My friend is over here having an argument on the phone with the servermatrix helpdesk.
    He has been having problems for over two weeks now. It seems like his server was hacked and used to send out a ddos attack. Somebody managed to get in a trojan horse.
    he has been begging them on the phone to help him for over two weeks now. They just continue telling him to mail them the problem. First they tried to sell him extra memory then they told him they could fix the problem. They would clean his server and then put his data back up.
    So they cleaned his server and then tell him that all his data got deleted...
    wtf???
    I am so happy I dont host with them but I feel sorry for my friend.

          Server Matrix rocks. Sorry to hear about your friend, but bitching to the support desk isn't going to help. They deal with assholes yelling all the time, being civilized is much better. Plus, they host dedi's mind you. So when a problem on your server occurs. It's your problem to fix! My advice is to learn how to manage a server before getting one. Then it isn't so easy to just blame everyone besides yourself.

              Yeah the problem is he was not yelling. He was being very civilsed. So they tried to sell him stuff and lost his data.

                  Servermatrix is unmanaged, if you cant manage the box yourself you dont belong hosting with them. Find a managed solution.
